In today’s fast-paced advertising industry, there is a constant need to stay up to date with the latest trends, insights and technologies available to communications professionals across the globe. One of edcom’s goals for 2017-2019 is to find ways to enable academics and universities to work more closely together with the industry. The results of a closer relationship manifest themselves in continuous professional development and training for academics, and a better understanding of university processes for industry professionals.

FARA Festival

How to apply

Interested candidates should send a letter of motivation and a listing of their top three events to the edcom Secretariat.

Please note that edcom will only cover the entrance fee or entrance ticket for each event. Travel, accommodation and any other expenses should be covered by the academic or their institute.

In return for attending the event of their choice free of charge, the academic will be asked to produce a report with their main takeaways that they will submit to the edcom Secretariat, who will pass it onto the event organiser and share among the edcom network. The report can be in the format of a video, blog, web article or vlog.
